A Simple System for Consistent Content at Your BJJ Gym

You know you should be creating content for your BJJ gym. The businesses that prioritize content and publish consistently are attracting more leads and retaining members at a higher rate.

But consistency is a common challenge.

Social platforms reward frequent posting, and consumer trust is built through consistent messaging. This is how you grow your audience, nurture prospects, and engage current members.

However, many gym owners struggle to keep up.

Between running classes, managing members and staff, and handling their personal lives, creating fresh content every week feels overwhelming.

But it doesn’t have to be.

Here’s a simple system to help you create content consistently without the stress.

Step 1: Choose 4 Core Content Topics

One of the biggest struggles in content creation is coming up with new ideas. Instead of brainstorming every week, pick four core topics and rotate through them.

This is how the best content creators stay consistent.

Your topics should address the key pain points of your target audience. For example, my content for Tactical Marketer revolves around:

  1. Getting new leads

  2. Retaining members

  3. Building business systems

  4. Business mindset

Each week, I create content around one of these topics.

For a BJJ gym, your four topics might be:

  • Self-defense techniques

  • Beginner BJJ techniques

  • The benefits of BJJ for kids

  • Motivational content

Other topic ideas include:

✔️ Competition strategies

✔️ Fitness for BJJ

✔️ Advanced BJJ techniques

✔️ Women’s self-defense

✔️ Injury prevention

✔️ Understanding the rules of BJJ

Once you select your topics, simply cycle through them each week.

Step 2: Batch Your Content Creation

Next, set aside one hour per week to create content.

Whether it's blog posts, newsletters, YouTube videos, Instagram Reels, or podcasts—dedicate time to producing content.

I prefer to write, so I create one long-form article each week, which I then break into smaller pieces for social media.

Batching content is key. Create multiple pieces at once to build a content archive, making it easier to stay consistent week after week.

Think of content creation as an essential business task—just like following up with leads, balancing finances, or managing staff.

Schedule it and make it non-negotiable.

Step 3: Publish Daily, Weekly, Monthly

Once your content is ready, use scheduling tools (built into most social media and email platforms) to automate posting.

📍 Social media: Post daily or every other day

📍 Emails: Send weekly

📍 Blogs/podcasts: Publish monthly at a minimum

If you have a strong content archive, you can drip it out over time instead of scrambling for new ideas every week.

Here’s an example Instagram posting schedule:

  • Monday: 🥋 Self-defense technique – "How to escape a headlock"

  • Wednesday: 🎯 Beginner BJJ technique – "Side control escape drill"

  • Friday: 👶 BJJ for kids – "3 ways BJJ helps kids build confidence"

  • Saturday: 💡 Motivation – "Student testimonial or hard work quote"

By sticking to your four topics and batching content, publishing consistently becomes effortless.

Step 4: Repeat

This system takes the guesswork out of content creation.

Once it's in place, simply repeat the process week after week.

No one will notice that you're rotating the same four topics because they provide fresh value each time. And if you ever feel inspired to switch things up, you can always evolve your topics.

That’s the beauty of online publishing—you can create whatever you want!

That said, focus on value-based content that resonates with your target audience.

✔️ Create ✔️ Publish ✔️ Repeat

Final Thoughts

I’ve been using this system since 2018, and it has been the foundation of every business I’ve built.

Start with 4 core topics, create content each week, batching as much as possible, then drip it out week after week.

This is how the top content creators stay ahead—and how you can remove uncertainty from the process.

In 2025, content isn’t just important for business growth—it directly translates to revenue.

With the right strategy, content can even be repurposed into paid ads to attract more students to your gym.

The first step? Pick your 4 topics and start creating.

Don’t wait—content is the modern cost of doing business.
